Carla Bertolin-Siegmund, RP

Individual and Couple's Counselling

Very simply, the purpose of psychotherapy is to remove the blocks to truth. Our own truths about ourselves, our world, our relationships. My personal mission is to do my best in assisting you to reach a new and profound level of liberation on all levels: Psychological, Emotional and Spiritual.

Carla is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. With Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), she specializes in an integrative and holistic approach to therapy that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.

Carla’s practice is grounded in humanistic principles, emphasizing each client’s unique strengths, creativity, and capacity for growth. By drawing on IFS and a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, she helps individuals cultivate self-awareness, navigate challenges, and build a deeper connection to themselves and others.

Passionate about fostering healing and transformation, Carla creates a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their inner worlds and move toward meaningful change.

What I Offer

My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a transformative model that views the mind as composed of distinct “parts.” Together, we explore these parts, fostering self-awareness and compassion while working toward balance and harmony within.
IFS is the foundation of my practice, integrated with holistic and humanistic methods to address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
Whether you’re facing anxiety, parenting challenges, or life transitions, I provide a safe, supportive space for healing and growth.

The process of therapy helps you put words to and name your internal experiences, thoughts and feelings. It makes all that is going on internally inside of us, external by naming it so we can have clarity. I will help you with this process of taking what's internal and making it external so you can see it clearer. When you can see it clearly you can better understand yourself, your experiences, emotions and that which has been bothering you. You are then able to make the choices necessary to move forward.

How Can Therapy Help?

My ultimate goal is to support people in discovering a new level of inner peace that is always available regardless of external circumstances; to come into a new and meaningful relationship with themselves and therefore with the world around them.

Parenthood is Hard.

Parenthood is a major transition. It means the change of many things as we once new them. Although it can be a joyful and loving time, for many it can be filled with stress and anxiety. The distress a new parent experiences can be normal, talking to someone can help you make sense of your new thoughts, feelings and worries during this transition period in you and your family's lives. For some the transition to parenthood is not quite as simple. 1 in 5 (15-20%) women will develop a more serious mental health concern called a PMAD (Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder)
You are not alone. You are not to blame. With help, you will be well.

In the spirit of respect and reconciliation, I acknowledge that my practices are located upon the lands that have been inhabited by Indigenous peoples from the beginning. I acknowledge the Haldimand Tract, traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabe and Haudenosauonee peoples, and the ancestral lands of the Attawandaron people and the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. As a settler, I respectfully thank all the generations of people who have taken care of this land for thousands of years.
